Every meeting starts with context

This agent reads the calendar each morning, researches every company scheduled for a meeting, and delivers a concise, structured brief straight to the user’s inbox - so they start the day fully prepared.

Results at a glance

  • 2+ hours saved daily per partner

  • 10–12 minutes from start to summary

  • 5 days from idea to pilot

The problem

For partners and analysts, meeting preparation was slow and inconsistent. Each meeting required independent research on the company, team, and recent news. As the number of daily meetings grew, so did the hours lost to gathering information manually.

The solution

We built an agent that automatically compiles pre-meeting intelligence for every scheduled call. It runs each morning, extracts meeting details from the user’s calendar, gathers research on the companies involved, and sends a well-structured email containing everything the partner needs to walk into each discussion prepared and informed.

How it works

  1. Input: Pulls the day’s meetings directly from the Microsoft calendar API.

  2. Research: Uses Firecrawl and Tavily to gather company information, recent funding, team details, and web presence.

  3. Processing: GPT-5 Mini summarises and structures the findings using the VC fund’s internal evaluation logic.

  4. Delivery: Sends a clean, formatted daily brief email to each partner and analyst before the first meeting.

Impact

  • Over 2 hours saved per person per day on meeting prep

  • Improved depth and consistency of pre-meeting context

  • Higher meeting quality and better decision-making focus

  • Fully automated daily workflow with zero manual steps

Build overview

Even the most stunning design can fall flat if it loads slowly or behaves inconsistently across devices. Optimized images, responsive frameworks, and lightweight code ensure your site looks great and functions flawlessly — whether on a desktop or a smartphone.

Purpose

  • Duration: 5 days (strategy, build, testing)

  • Stack: Microsoft Suite, GPT-5 Mini, Firecrawl, Tavily, Make.com

  • Client: Venture Capital firm

  • Key challenges: Ensuring accurate enrichment for each fund’s focus and relevance filters

In summary

The Daily Brief Generator replaced scattered morning research with a fully automated, personalized briefing system. By integrating research tools, reasoning models, and calendar data, the VC team gained back hours each day - freeing them to focus on what truly matters: making better investment decisions.
